Welcome
Welcome to the Christmas Miracle Triathlon Tournament II (CMTT2). This is a friendly game tournament open to everyone with a focus on being as accessible as possible. That means:
So check out the rules, tell your friends, then sign up and lets have some fun!
Registration will be open until Friday April 2nd 11:59pm PST. [Registration now closed]
Matches begin Saturday April 10th.
- All of the games are free to play - you wont spend a dime on this event.
- Pick your own teammate, or not! - This tournament is played in teams of 2. You can team up with your buddy, or offer yourself up as a free-agent to be paired with other mercenaries.
- Play matches on your own schedule - we're all busy folk, so you can agree on times for your matches, within a window, with your fellow players.
- We're not pro's - We're playing three games of very different genre's for a reason. Chances are most people will not be experts in sports, MOBA's and FPS games. We've intentionally selected games that we know at least some of us have never played or have little experience in. It's more fun if we're all bad!
- It's still competitive, that's what makes it fun - We will end registration well before the first matches begin. This will allow teams to strategize and practice (and download the games for the first time) a little bit before we begin.
So check out the rules, tell your friends, then sign up and lets have some fun!

Per-Match Rules
General Rules
The games are all free-to-play and are as follows: Click on the links above for details on exact settings, specific rules for each game and a download link. READ THESE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BEGIN!
Per-Match Rules
- The teams paired for a match will complete a doodle form provided by a tournament organizer to schedule a time for their match that works for everyone.
- If any member of a team fails to at least submit their doodle form within two days, their team will forfeit the match.
- If it is not possible to schedule a match between the two teams, the team with the least availability will forfeit the match.
- Each Team must be present in the Triathlon Discord channel at the scheduled time of their match. Each team has a maximum 10 minute grace period to deal with small technical problems (e.g. someone requires a computer re-start). If a team is not present and ready to play after that grace period, their team will forfeit the match.
- Each match in the tournament will be decided by a team winning best 2 out of 3 games.
- Every match will begin with a "coin flip". The team that wins the flip gets to select the first game the teams will compete in.
- Competitors will launch the game and set up their match as seen above in the per-game details.
- The team that loses the game will select the next game to be played out of the remaining options (cannot play the same game twice).
- After two games, if the teams are tied at 1 win, the final game will be played to determine the winners.
- Both teams must communicate who won the match to TypicalToast on Discord (he will either be present for the match, or you can send him a message).
General Rules
- You MUST have downloaded, installed and patched all of the above games before your first match of the tournament begins. If any member if your team has not done so and cannot enter the match game lobby within 10 minutes of the start time of your match, your team will forfeit.
- You MUST have done any initial setup required in each game before your first match of the tournament begins (e.g. gone through the required tutorial if there is one). You will not be allotted any additional time to do tutorials or set up custom control schemes.
- ONLY items, equipment or any other form of persistent progression in these games that are available to new users are allowed. In Rogue Company for example, only the basic starting characters are allowed. Purely aesthetic content you may own for any of these games IS allowed (e.g. character skin). It MUST NOT affect game play in anyway.
- Any disputes between teams will be resolved by TypicalToast or SargentAngle - the tournament administrators.
- BEFORE YOUR FIRST MATCH - make sure to add the tournament organizers as friends on Steam and EGS. They are lonely and need friends. Also this will make setting up the matches run smoothly.
